After being set up by mutual friends - Nikki and Tom have now been together for over a decade, however, the years have only made them stronger. Their wedding was the perfect reflection of their relationship as a couple - fun and carefree.
Tom and Nikki met 10 years ago playing touch football in Brisbane, Australia. The pair had mutual school friends who had set up a social team and the rest is history. Tom proposed to Nikki whilst they were living in New York. He got down on one knee on Bow Bridge in Central Park.
Tom and Nikki always knew they wanted to get married on the beach. Having spent a lot of time with their families on the Sunshine Coast and the Gold coast it made them drawn to the surroundings of Byron Bay.
The couple chose Elements of Byron without even going to the venue.
“We knew it was perfect when we saw the photos.”
Living in New York, Tom and Nikki entrusted Danielle from White+White Weddings to assist with all the styling and organisation leading up to the day.
From a live painter, a saxophone player, to a photo-booth and donuts. Nikki and Tom’s wedding reception is the epitome of a good time.
“We didn’t want any of our family and friends to have jobs so they could enjoy the day.”

Nikki paired her gorgeous gown with the Genevieve overlay which was detachable and custom made organza sleeves, taking inspiration from our Vivienne gown.
Nikki wore the most fabulous statement earrings from RanJana Khan and a simple two-tier tulle veil (you can find similar on our website here).
To finish off the night – Nikki changed into a pair of Kate Spade sneakers for the reception and took off her skirt overlay.
