ELOPE

For the girl who’s independence separates her from the rest, who’s always marched to the beat of her own drum and who wants to own that special bridal feeling on her wedding day without feeling she’s lost her essence, this is the spirit throughout our ELOPE collection.

If a wedding is about celebrating the unique love between you and your fiancée, then what you wear on your day should celebrate your unique personality. At KAREN WILLIS HOLMES we’ve always believed that confidence is what radiates beauty on your wedding day and that your bridal look is a central part of that.

We wanted to give brides who are looking for something distinctively different to feel that confidence as well and the chance to redefine what a wedding dress means to them. This line of wedding dresses and separate pieces was meant to push boundaries, to break stereotypes and to rethink what a bridal look is.

There’s no such thing as what ‘should be’ worn on your wedding day, the only thing that matters to us is that your individuality shines though and that you feel like the most beautiful, truest version of yourself. The beauty of the ELOPE pieces is they all still say ‘bride’ without saying traditional, so you still have your once in a lifetime wedding moment without having to compromise your style.

ELOPE is made up of bridal looks unlike any other; unique gowns, short mini wedding dresses, bridal jumpsuits and wedding pantsuits.

Textured lace, silky crepe and satin finishes run through this line, but what gives the ELOPE collection its second-to-none-flair is all in the little touches. Feathered detailing, plunging keyholes, deep necklines and side cutaways give just the right amount of edge and sexiness to these daring pieces.

Each ELOPE piece would look incredible on a remote island abroad and just as stunning in an elaborate loft a bit closer to home.

That’s the beauty of this collection; it isn’t about the location, and it’s definitely not only for brides who are eloping— it’s about your personality and letting it shine whether that’s at an intimate wedding at City Hall, a far away elopement, or something more traditional, which works just as perfectly.

Our ELOPE line is versatility at its best, these pieces are breathtaking as a bridal look, fun and unexpected as a second look, and they make for incredible pieces for your honeymoon or rehearsal dinner. No matter if you’re wearing an ELOPE piece during your wedding weekend or down the aisle, they are like nothing you’ve ever seen before and are sure to turn heads.

All of our ELOPE pieces are proudly handmade in our Sydney, Australia workroom. We can’t wait to see you in one of our boutiques so our stylists can help you pick out your perfect wedding day look from this collection.

I Don't Live Near a KWH Boutique or Stockist, How can I Purchase a KWH Gown or Obtain Expert Advice?

If you don’t live near a KWH boutique, contact our customer service team directly and we will have a solution for you to secure your dream gown. Our team can also offer you styling advice via phone or email. Feel free to contact them on +61 2 9519 3901 or info@karenwillisholmes.com.

What if I Have a Short Timeline?

We do carry stock of some gowns in-house, or we can sometimes make an ELOPE or BESPOKE gown in much shorter timeframes if we have all the fabric and time in our production calendar to fit your order in. As well, our LUXE line is a ready-to-wear line which means we can work with a shorter time frame as long as your desired gown is in stock. While we can work with shorter time frames, we always recommend a longer timeline, as having a shorter one will limit what is available to you.

If you have a short time frame, please contact us on info@karenwillisholmes.com or + 61 2 9519 3901 to discuss your options.

Will I Need Alterations?

Alterations are expected and essential for the finishing touches to any gown and will make the gown truly yours. When purchasing a gown, we take your body measurements to help determine the closest standard size to your body based on our size chart. However, alterations are needed to fine-tune for fit and to your personal preference. Whether that means taking in a gown to make it smaller for your hips, bust, or waist (or maybe everywhere), adding cups, shortening straps, hemming the length, and adding in the bustle for your train, alterations are a standard part of the whole process.

How do I Style an ELOPE Wedding Dress?

Depending on which ELOPE style you’re going with we recommend either our veils or detachable bridal trains. If you’re going for a suit or short and cami combo, a veil can really amp up that bridal feeling. A jumpsuit or gown with a waist seam look fabulous with one of our trains.

What is an ELOPE Wedding Dress?

Elope pieces were designed for modern brides (and not just those who are actually eloping!) Brides who wear our ELOPE collection want to be authentically themselves and wear what feels true to them.

Where can I try on KWH ELOPE Dresses in Person?

Have you fallen in love with one of our handmade wedding dresses? We have boutiques across Australia in Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth where you can work with our dedicated bridal stylists and try on your KWH favourites. You can also visit one of our many stockists across the globe if our boutiques are not in your area.

What is the Lead Time for an ELOPE Dress?

Gowns from the ELOPE collection are made in Australia and are made to order to a standard size- whatever size you measure closest to at the time of your appointment. We recommend a shopping lead time of 6-9 months and a booking lead time 6 months, however, because we make these gowns in our own workroom we can sometimes work with shorter time frames.
