Kate & Tom exchanged their vows on a beautiful October day surrounded by their friends and family and with a cricket pitch in the background. It was a day full of love, sentiment, happiness and a perfect reflection of this stunning couple.
Tom proposed to Kate on the top of Mt Roy in Wanaka, New Zealand. Kate was completely caught off guard and complained about the heat the entire 3hr hike to the top. When the couple got to the top, Tom set up his tripod, they took some photos together before he took both of Kate’s hands, got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. “There was lots of tears and hugs, but of course I said yes! I think I floated the whole way back down the mountain.”
Kate and Tom were married at Wandin in Lovedale in the New South Wales Hunter Valley. It was the only venue they looked at and they both left knowing it was the perfect spot for their special day. “We wanted somewhere that we could stay for the weekend and have our ceremony and reception all in one location. Getting married at a winery in the Hunter Valley was a plus for me and getting married on the side of a cricket pitch was a huge plus for Tim.”
The styling of Kate and Tom’s wedding was minimal and clean with a focus on rich florals in beautiful berry tones and rustic elements in the form of the timber arch and old-style chairs for their ceremony.
Kate wore the Pascale gown from our BESPOKE collection. One of her closest friends had found her wedding gown from KWH a year before and spoke so highly of all the KWH staff, and with Kate living not too far from the Sydney boutique, it was an easy decision to visit. “I loved the bell sleeves and the lace overlay.”
“Take your time and try on different styles. You may not find it the first time you look, but you will find it! Pascale was the last dress I tried on at KWH. My sister had picked it out as I had missed it completely when I was in the boutique.”
