Once Jennifer and Paul found the beautifully rustic Stones of the Yarra Valley, it was an easy decision for this space to host their big day. With a nod back to Paul’s surprise proposal and the stunning vineyards in the back, the venue was a perfect fit for Jennifer and Paul’s simply elegant wedding and is giving us major location envy!
On a weekend away to the Yarra Valley that Paul had planned, the couple made a stop at the famous pie shop in Warburton. Jennifer thought nothing of it because Paul is such a foodie but after buying their pies, they headed down to the river for a picnic. Paul started playing ‘Everywhere’ by Fleetwood Mac and proposed. “It was super romantic and genuine!”
The wedding was held at the beautiful Stones of the Yarra Valley. “The choice was pretty easy for us as Paul had booked us to stay at Stones after the proposal, so it felt right to close the circle where it all began.”
It was very important to Jennifer and Paul that they embrace the natural beauty of the venue and its surroundings. Native flowers locally sourced and gumtree foliage created a rustic but graceful style to the wedding. The reception was held in a barn with long tables, adorned with gold candles, vases and linen runners. “We wanted people to interact and have fun and what doesn’t bring people more together than sharing food – right?”
Jennifer had a very specific style of gown in mind and did a lot of online research and endless scrolling through Instagram until she found KWH. The Paris gown from our WILD HEARTS collection from our Melbourne boutique was altered to be sleeveless and was the perfect gown for Jennifer. “The fabric and train were my favourite details of my dress! It looked absolutely incredible when we removed the sleeves and really brought out the beautiful silhouette!”
“Try, try and try! All different shapes and fabrics to see what works on your body. I think we all have some idea of what we’re after but I had many surprises with styles I never thought I’d like, that actually looked great on me!”
“Love to me means sharing your life with someone where trust, respect and true caring for one other is the main focus! You also want to have fun with the one you love.”
