Melanie and Matt are a modern-day fairytale. "I was his Tinderella, I deleted the app after our first conversation but he then stalked me and found me on Instagram." After their first date, Melanie knew that she had found the man that would one day be her future husband.
It was a completely normal workday. Melanie was on her way home and Matt had a reservation booked at Melanie’s favourite restaurant for dinner. Melanie protested that she was too tired to go but Matt insisted.
After a bit of convincing, Matt and Melanie were on their way out of the house when Matt said: “I forgot to put something on”. Melanie turned around and Matt was down on one knee holding the most beautiful ring.
“It was perfect!”
Melanie and Matt had a destination wedding in Bali.
“Bali is one of our favourite holiday destinations. We shared our first international trip to Bali together so it’s quite special to us.”
Melanie and Matt both love Hampton style homes and after a bit of research on Pinterest, they had found the perfect venue. “We even booked it online without seeing the venue in person. It was at The Ungasan in Uluwatu, the venue is absolutely breathtaking – the photos don’t do it justice!”
Melanie and Matt left all of their wedding styling to their amazing wedding planner Megan. “We gave her some Pinterest inspiration and left it all to her. It was hands down one of the best decisions we made. We were blown away at what was created for us, she got to know us both as a couple and our personalities and made each and every detail suit who we are.”
The highlight of Melanie’s day, however, was seeing her sisters wearing her very own label. The Bridal Thread.

“Try on as many dresses as you can, don’t purchase the first dress that you think is the ‘one’. Wedding dress shopping is quite an emotional experience so make sure you take friends of family who will be honest with you.
I tried on a few dresses before I found the Anya gown.
Once I put Anya on, we all knew that was the perfect dress for me – it hugged in all the right places and featured incredible bead detailing.”
