Jacqueline and Chris’ city wedding unfolded like a love letter to old-world glamour with a distinctly modern edge. Wrapped in rain, nostalgia, and devotion, their wedding proved that the most unforgettable love stories don’t wait for perfect weather, they simply happen (and let’s be honest, perfection is boring).

For Jacqueline, her wedding dress journey was deeply personal. She shared with us, “I lost my mum six months before our wedding, so dress appointments were especially difficult as she was a seamstress herself.” What followed was an extraordinary collaboration between Jacqueline and our Melbourne team: one rooted in empathy, craftsmanship, and heart. After trying on over 50 dresses, Jacqueline co-created her dream gown, made even more meaningful by a small gold piece of fabric sewn into the dress, a fabric her mum once used to wrap gifts. “You’ll see this in the photos, and it meant so much to me.” A quiet, golden tribute stitched into the seams of a new beginning.

As fate would have it, Jacqueline and Chris’ wedding day became the coldest November day since 1913: a true one-in-a-hundred moment. Rain fell all day, softening the city streets and adding a romantic, almost European mood to the celebration. Their reception was held at Mister Bianco, an Italian restaurant close to their hearts, where they had celebrated previous anniversaries. Soft warm lights, laughter, margaritas, and rain tapping against the windows: proof that love only grows warmer when the world turns cold.

And then there were the details. Their golden retriever walked their wedding bands down the aisle wearing a dog outfit Jacqueline’s mum had made for her own wedding over 30 years ago. Jacqueline arrived in a 1962 Mercedes-Benz, once driven by her poppy as a surprise for her nanna. Chris, in turn, arrived in his ultimate dream car: a Lamborghini Aventador, Jacqueline’s surprise to him. It was nostalgia and joy, woven seamlessly with modern luxury.
