Alex & Matt’s Golden Hour Romance in the Yarra Valley
Some weddings feel like they belong inside a beautifully written rom-com, and Alex and Matt’s Yarra Valley celebration was exactly that. Set amongst rolling vineyards at a picturesque winery, their day unfolded beneath golden sunshine with champagne flowing and soft music drifting through the vines. It was tastefully simple, intimate, and deeply romantic: the kind of wedding that didn’t need extravagance because the emotion spoke for itself. Alex and Matt have the sweetest kind of love, the sort where their kindness is immediately visible in their eyes, making every glance and every moment feel genuine. It felt cinematic in the most effortless way, like a scene from The Notebook reimagined through a modern fashion editorial.
At the centre of Alex’s bridal look was the iconic Lou Lou Bodice. Although introducing Lou Lou almost feels unnecessary at this point, as it has become such a signature KWH piece, this wedding reminded us exactly why brides continue to adore it. Featuring a corseted scooped bodice layered with hand draped Mikado, the design beautifully elongates the torso whilst drawing the eye into the waist in the most delicious way. Complete with straps for extra support and the option of a button back or lace-up closure, Lou-Lou perfectly balances structure with romance.
Paired with the Emily Skirt, the look transformed into pure Old Hollywood glamour. Continuing the soft draping across the hips before falling into a flattering fit and flare silhouette, the skirt enhances and elongates the body whilst celebrating every curve. Together, the Lou Lou & Emily gown creates a bridal look that feels timeless yet fashion-forward, elegant, sculpted, and effortlessly romantic from head to toe. Against the warm glow of the vineyard, the entire combination felt soft, sophisticated, and undeniably cinematic.
