Prue and Luke – A Party to Celebrate Love

When Prue and Luke met, they worked together at the same pub during their University days. The pair were friends for almost a year before dating and – as Prue says “the rest is history!”

On the proposal

Luke proposed to Prue whilst they were holidaying in the Philippines.
“I had flown over to meet him after he finished a volunteering trip and it was the first night of our holiday in Sabang, Palawan. It happened during a sunset wander along the beach, Luke dropped to one knee and proposed!”

On the venue

The gorgeous couple married at Waldara Farm, near Oberon NSW. In the stunning venue, Prue and Luke were able to celebrate over 3 days with their closest family and friends.

“We chose the venue as we wanted a relaxed, romantic wedding day with an epic dance-floor. Waldara Farm offered everything we dreamed of. We had a beautiful outdoor ceremony, relaxed cocktail hour on the lawn and then hosted our evening reception (and epic dance-floor) in the most gorgeous barn. Both our immediate families were able to stay for the 3 days in the beautiful homesteads on the property which made it so relaxed for us all and a weekend we will remember forever.”

All the styling details

Prue and Luke envisaged a relaxing day and ultimately, a big party to celebrate their love. The pair wanted to make sure the day kept true to celebrating their love and what that meant for them as a couple.

“Ultimately we wanted our wedding to be authentic and our vision for the day was a balance of rustic character and romance. Hosting our wedding at a beautiful property, we were blessed with so much natural beauty that we kept additional styling to a minimum and opted for neutral colour palates, clean black and white for our bridal party and a mix of fresh and dried florals to tie with our vision of rustic and romance.”

The Dress

Prue said yes to the Vivienne gown from our Wild Hearts Collection at our Alexandria boutique in Sydney.

“I saw the Vivienne Gown on your socials as part of your new collection and instantly fell in love. I booked an appointment just to try this gown and it was just perfect. The Vivienne gown encompassed everything I envisaged in a gown – it was the perfect mix of modern, feminine and fun – it had so much personality and the best thing – I felt so comfortable all day long! The Vivienne gown has the most beautiful and intricate lace details, it hugs your figure like a dream and those sleeves! They were the perfect touch to add something ‘extra’ to a traditional wedding dress and it was the perfect dress to suit the style of our wedding day.”

Gown hunting tips

“Make sure you stay true to your own style – it can be quite an overwhelming process with so many beautiful gowns out there, but remember that your wedding day is about you and your partner. Make sure you feel like you in the gown because that is what will make you feel authentic and genuine on the day and it will shine through!

What does love mean to you?

“Love means you are willing to move mountains to ensure each other’s happiness. You are without exception, ready to listen, to talk through issues and celebrate each other’s successes.
You smile and laugh at each other’s imperfections and think they are perfect. Love means you would choose each other to be by your side throughout ups and downs, the good, the bad and everything in between.”
