Amy and Josh’s Countryside Wedding

Amy put her best foot forward and gave her number to Josh on the first day of high school. Fast forward two years after they became friends they started dating and 11 years later they said “I do!”

On the venue

Amy and Josh got married at the beautiful Worrowing Estate in Jervis Bay, on the Australian South Coast.
“We instantly fell in love with the property, its unique balance of coastal aesthetic with the distinct white and blue homestead and the rustic feel of the raw Australian countryside we felt suited us and our own style to a T.”

All the styling details

Amy and Josh were lucky enough that their gorgeous venue allowed them the flexibility to bring in their own caterer, bar staff, florist and stylist – which meant they could make their wedding day all that they wanted it to be.

The couple wanted a relaxed, sophisticated and almost undone vibe on their wedding day. “We wanted the beauty of the venue to speak for itself and so we kept it clean and minimalistic. Our goal was to have fabulous food, plenty of champagne, lots of laughter and love – we ultimately wanted our guests to be comfortable and have a great time.”

The Dress

Amy found her Aubrey gown from our Wild Hearts collection in our Sydney boutique.

“I have always loved and admired the blend of both contemporary and traditional style that KWH offers. I knew that I wanted something classic and sophisticated – the Aubrey gown fitted me perfectly, the fabric was beautifully soft but also rich and firm in texture. It was comfortable, easy to wear and everything I was looking for.”

With Amy’s hair in a low bun, drop pearl earrings and a neutral long stemmed bouquet, her simple and minimal accessories are the perfect reflection of the rest of her and Josh’s wedding.

Amy wore a two tier tulle veil, you can find similar on our website – here.

Gown hunting tips

“One of the best decisions I made was involving only my mum throughout the whole buying process. I felt that it gave me an opportunity when trying on dresses to really uncover how I wanted to look as opposed to how other people might have wanted me to look.”

What does love mean to you?

“Love is friendship that caught on fire.”

Gorgeous! We had the most fun at your wedding Josh and Amy. Best fun since Sam and Sean’s wedding where Amy caught the bouquet and Josh’s face went white. It was toooo funny. 😂
